223 (214 Fifteenth day of November last past was indicted arraigned and Convicted of mutinouse specified practices and attempts w.th force against the person of the right honoble his Lord Prop.ry that it now is and the peace and governm.t of this Province whereby all the goods & Chattles lands and Tenem.ts of the said George Godfrey which hee was possessed of att the time of the Crime aforesaid Comitted (viz.t the seaventeenth day of July last past are become forfeited unto the Right honoble the Lord Prop.ry) had att the time of the Crime aforesaid Comitted or att any time since In Obedience whereunto I his said William Chandler have sumoned Twelve good and lawfull men of my bayliwick viz.t Thomas Hussey Majo.r John Wheeler James Wheeler William Theobalds James Smallwood Marke Lampton Willm Wells John Boyce John Butcher John Hanson Joshua Graves and John Clarke Who being impannelled & sworne to say the truth in the p.rmisses Upon their Oathes doe say that the said George at the time of the Crime aforesaid Comitted viz.t the seaventeenth day of July last past was seized of a parcell of land lyeing scituate and being on the west side of Portobacco Creeke in Charles County aforesaid Containing one hundred Acres with the plantacon and houses thereon Erected viz.t One dwelling house twenty foote in length & fifteen ^foot^ wide One other dwelling house twenty eight foot in length & fifteen foote wide one roome more Twenty foot long and ten foote wide one stable Tenn foote square one barne thirty foot long and Twenty foote wide and four forty foot tobacco houses And also a parcell of land lyeing scituate & being att the head of Nanjemy Creeke in Charles County aforesaid Containing Two hundred and Fifty Acres part of a Tract of land called Troopes Randevouze w.th the Plantacon and houses thereon erected (viz.t) one dwelling house Twenty ^five^ foote in length & fifteen foote wide And One old Forty foot tobacco house And that the said Georg Godfrey allsoe att the time aforesaid was possessed of these severall goods & Chattles in a schedule hereunto annexed In witness whereof the Juro.rs as well as the sheriffe have hereunto putt their hands & seals the day & year first above written Willm Chandler sheriffe (sealed)
A schedule of the goods & Chattles of George Godfrey of Charles County seized & taken into the Custody of Coll.o W.m Chandler Sheriffe of Charles County aforesaid for his Lopps use the second day of December Anno Dm One thousand six hundred Eighty One Att the Plantacon att Portobacco One servant boy named Tho Taylor who hath about four years to serve One servant boy named Mich Willbey who hath about five yeares to serve One servant man named John Knisley who hath two years in Aprill next to serve Two Cowes & Calves One heifer two years old and advantage One steer two years old One steer one year old twenty six head of hoggs young & old out in the woods by the Informacon of Georg Clarke who was sworne to declare what stock did properly belong unto George Godfrey the Cattle & hoggs being markt as followeth viz.t Cropt on the left eare underkeeled & Overkeeled |
