       Know all men by these p.rsents That I Marke Cordea of Saint Maryes County in the province of
       Maryland Merchant have Nominated Constituted and appointed And by these p.rsents doe Nominate
       Constitute and appointe my Loveing wife Hester Cordea my true full and Lawfull Attorney for me
       and in my name and to my use to aske Demand sue for Leavy Recover and Receive all and all
       Manner of Debt or debts sume or sumes of Money or Tobacco goods wares or Merchandizes as are
       or hereafter shall be any wayes due oweing or belonging to me from any Manner of person or persons
       whatsoever within the province of Maryland aforesaid or Collony of Virginia in any manner of use
       whatsoever And my plantations where I now dwell and att Choptanke and all my servants goods stock
       of Cattle Hoggs &.ca to manage and Looke after And an Account of the Overseer or Overseers ^there^ from tyme to
       tyme to take and them or any of them to Remove and displace and others in their Roome or stead to
       place and putt in And finally all my whole Estate and Interest in the province and Colony aforesaid  
       to Manage according to her discretion skill and Judgment And if need Require the said person or persons
       or any of them to sue prosecute and implead in any Court or Courts whatsoever for the Recovery of
       any my Just dues and debts whatsoever Ree the same by bond bill Covenant Agreement account
       or any other way whatsoever And one or more Attorney or Attorneys under her from tyme to tyme
       to Nominate and appointe and the same att her will and pleasure to Revoake and discharge
       And Lastly to Act and doe in all manner of things in and touching the Management of my said
       Estate as to her my said Attorney shall seeme Meete and Convenient Giveing and Granting to my
       said Attorney my full power in and touching the p.rmisses And hereby Ratifyeing and Confirmeing
       what my said Attorney shall Lawfully doe in the p.rmisses as if I my selfe were personally
       p.rsent And in Case of the decease of my said Attorney (which God forbid) I doe hereby Nominate
       and appointe my Loveing Freinds Robert Ridgely and Robert Carvile of Saint Maryes County Gen
       my Attorneyes Joyntly or severally to doe Execute and performe all and Every the powers and
       Authorityes hereby in these p.rsents Granted and Comitted to my said wife with power of Constituting
       as aforesaid And promiseing hereby also to Ratifye and Confirme what they shall Lawfully doe
       therein In Testimony whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale this sixteenth day of July
       in the yeare of our Lord 1680

       This Indenture made the tenth day of July in the yeare of Our Lord One
       Thousand six hundred Eighty and One Betweene William Holmes of S.t Maryes County
       Planter and Frances his wife late wife and Executrix of William Lucas of the same County
       Planter of the one part and Robert Carvile of the same County gentl of the other part
       Witnesseth that Whereas the said William Lucas in his life time had agreed to sell and
       Convey unto Henry Rider of the same County Planter a parcell of Land Lyeing & being upon
