At a Session of the General Assembly of Maryland, begun
and held in the City of Annapolis on the Ninth
Day of January, 1974, and Ending on the Eighth
Day or April, 1974, Marvin Mandel, being
Governor of the State, the following Laws were
enacted, to wit;
CHAPTER 1
(Senate Bill 18)
AN ACT concerning
Garrett County — Treasurer
FOR the purpose of increasing the salary of the Garrett
County treasurer:.
BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,
Article 25 — County Commissioners
Section 51(j)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1973 Replacement Volume and 197 3 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF.
MARYLAND, That Section 51(j) of Article 25 - County
Commissioners, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973
Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 2 5 — County Commissioners
51.
(j) Garrett County treasurer and deputy. —The
county treasurer of Garrett County shall receive an
annual salary of [S7,500] $8,500 out of which he shall
pay the expenses of his office to the extent that they
are not otherwise specifically provided for by law.
