(4) Croakers or hardheads less than 10 inches;
(5) Perch, white or yellow, less than [eight] 8
inches, if caught other than by hook or line;
(6) Pike or walleyed pike less than 14 inches;
(7) Sea trout or weakfish less than [nine] 9
inches;
(8) Striped bass, less than 12 inches in length or
weighing more than 15 pounds. However, a person may
catch one striped bass over 15 pounds per day with hook
and line in the Susquehanna River above hog back shoals
and in the waters of the State at any time of the year
except from March 1 to Hay 27 inclusive, which may not be
sold or offered for sale.
(9) Sturgeon weighing less than 25 pounds;
(10) Taylor or blue fish less than [eight] 8
inches. Measurement for each fish mentioned above shall
be from the tip of the nose to the end of the tail.

(a) A person may not catch or possess more than
four hard crabs per bushel or ten hard crabs per barrel
which measure less than [five] 5 inches across the shell
from tip to tip of spike, any peelers measuring less than
[three] 3 inches across the shell from tip to tip of
spike, or any soft crabs measuring less than three and
one—half inches across the shell from tip to tip of
spike.

Any owner or tidewater shoreline property in Charles
County may set not more than four crab pots attached to
his pier or dock, by line, string or rope, or attached to
a pole set not more than 200 feet from shore. This pole
shall be conspicuously narked by colored tape or similar
material and shall have on it a sign at least [six] 6
inches by [six] 6 inches indicating the owner's name and
address. Pots may be set any day on night during the
crab season when the shore owner or a member of his
family is residing at the owner's shore property. Any
person catching crabs in this manner shall use them for
personal consumption only and may not sell them. The
provisions of this section do not apply in the Potomac
River.
