(G) THE MARYLAND REAL ESTATE COMMISSION, FOR THE
PURPOSES OF THIS SECTION, MAY RECEIVE COMPLAINTS,
CONDUCT INVESTIGATIONS, ISSUE SUBPOENAS, HOLD HEARINGS
AND GENERALLY ENFORCE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
SUBHEADING.
(H) A VIOLATION OF THIS SECTION IS A MISDEMEANOR
PUNISHABLE UPON CONVICTION BY A FINE OF NOT MORE THAN
FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,000.00) OR IMPRISONMENT FOR ONE
YEAR, OR BOTH; AND A CONVICTION OF ANY LICENSEE UNDER
THIS ARTICLE SHALL BE REFERRED TO THE MARYLAND REAL
ESTATE COMMISSION FOR ACTION.
(I) THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION SHALL APPLY ONLY IN
BALTIMORE CITY.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That if any provision of
this Act or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid for
any reason, the invalidity shall not affect the other provisions or any other
application of this Act which can be given effect without the invalid provisions or
application, and to this end all the provisions of this Act are declared to be
severable.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments Section 580 of Article 43 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Health," subtitle "Milk and Milk Products," to provide for
trade reciprocity with other jurisdictions and amending the requirements under
this subtitle as they apply to certain sanitation standards and inspections of
certain food product manufacturers.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 580 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Health,"
subtitle "Milk and Milk Products," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
580.
Raw milk supplies and pasteurized milk products from points beyond the limits
of routine inspection of the State of Maryland may not be sold in the State of
Maryland unless produced, processed, or pasteurized under provisions which are
substantially equivalent to the requirements of this subtitle or of any rule or
regulation issued thereunder, and which are enforced with equal effectiveness, as
determined by and acceptable current individual (milk sanitation compliance and

RATING OF 90 OR BETTER made by a State milk sanitation rating officer
