2082                               Municipal Charters

(b)   To pay the interest on and the redemption of all bonds falling
due in such year, which from time to time have been or will be issued,
to improve, sustain or enlarge said Cemetery.

(c)   To pay for all capital improvements to said Cemetery incurred
during the year.

(d)    To retain any balance for the enlargement, improvement or
betterment of said Cemetery.

Section 2. And be it further resolved that this Resolution shall take
effect this 22nd day of July, 1971.

Excerpts from the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Town Com-
missioners of Centreville, July 22, 1971.

Upon motion of Mr. Kaufman, duly seconded by Mr. Hodgson, and
passed by a unanimous vote, it was resolved that the following resolution
be adopted, to wit:

Charter Amendment

A resolution to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 126
of Article XI of the Town Charter of the Town of Centreville (May
1965), Article XI being entitled "Sewer and Water Department,"
Section 126 being subtitled "Revenues," to change the provisions re-
lating to where revenue and receipts shall be kept, so that it will no
longer be kept separate and apart from other funds of the town but
will be kept in a general account with said other funds, but desig-
nated as being from the Sewer and Water Department.

Section 1. Be it resolved by the Commissioners of the Town of Cen-
treville, Maryland, that Article XI, entitled "Sewer and Water Depart-
ment," Section 126 subtitled "Revenues" be repealed and re-enacted to read
as follows:

126. Revenues. The yearly revenue and receipts of the Sewer and
Water Department shall be kept (separate and apart from) with the other
funds of said Town in its general account, but such revenue and receipts
will be marked specifically so that it will be shown which Department they
are connected with,
and the same shall be expended in the following order :

(a)   To pay the yearly operating expenses of said system.

(b)   To pay the interest on and the redemption of all sewer and
water bonds which may fall due in such year.

(c)   To annually place a reasonable amount for depreciation to said
system into a depreciation reserve.

(d)   To pay for extensions or capital improvements to said system
incurred during such year.

(e)    To retain any balance in a reserve for emergency repairs to
said system.

Section 2. And be it further resolved that this Resolution shall take
effect this 22nd day of July, 1971.
