Edition), being Articles 17 and 16, respectively, of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, titled "Prince George's County
and Montgomery County," subtitled "Washington Suburban Sani-
tary District"; and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 18-7 of the Washington Suburban Sanitary District Code (1969
Edition, as amended), being Section 83-108 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Prince George's County (1963 Edition), and Section
71-58 of the Montgomery County Code (1965 Edition), being Arti-
cles 17 and 16, respectively, of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, titled "Prince George's County" and "Montgomery Coun-
ty," subtitled "Washington Suburban Sanitary District," AS LAST
AMENDED BY CHAPTER 522 OF THE ACTS OF 1970, repealing
the right of the Commission to entry ENTER upon private prop-
erty without permission, and relating to the right of the Commis-
sion to enter upon private property to inspect for violations after
first obtaining an injunction.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 1-8 of the Washington Suburban Sanitary District Code
(1969 Edition, as amended), being Section 83-106 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (1963 Edition), and
Section 71-56 of the Montgomery County Code (1965 Edition), being
Articles 17 and 16, respectively, of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Prince George's County" and "Montgomery
County," subtitled "Washington Suburban Sanitary District," be and
it is hereby repealed.

1-8 (Sec. 83-106; Sec. 71-56).

[Right of entry in private premises. Any employee or agent of
the commission shall have the right of entry, at all reasonable hours,
upon any private premises and into any building in the sanitary
district, or in those portions of Montgomery and Prince George's
Counties outside of such district, while in the pursuit of his official
duties, and any restraint or hinderance offered to such entry by
any owner or tenant, or agent of such owner or tenant, shall be
a misdemeanor punishable under Section 71-58 of this Code.]

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 18-7 of the Wash-
ington Suburban Sanitary District Code (1969 Edition, as amended),
being Section 83-108 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County (1963 Edition), and Section 71-58 of the Montgom-
ery County Code (1965 Edition), being Articles 17 and 16, respec-
tively, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, titled "Prince
George's County" and "Montgomery County," subtitled "Washington
Suburban Sanitary District," AS LAST AMENDED BY CHAPTER
522 OF THE ACTS OF 1970, be and they are hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

18-7 (83-108; 71-58).

(a) Penalties. Every act or omission designated as a misde-
meanor in this article, unless otherwise provided, shall be punishable
before any trial magistrate or people's court or the circuit court of
the county within which such offense is committed, and the offender
shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine not exceeding one hundred
dollars ($100.00) or to confinement for not more than thirty (30)
