being Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Baltimore City," subtitle "Supreme Bench," subheading "Ad-
ministrative Office," as added by Chapter 467 of the Acts of 1969;
enlarging certain powers and authority of the Supreme Bench to
include function related to collection of support orders; and cor-
recting obsolete references therein.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 22-12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore
City (1969 Edition, being Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland), title "Baltimore City," subtitle "Supreme Bench," sub-
heading "Administrative Office," as added by Chapter 467 of the
Acts of 1969, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

22-12.

The Supreme Bench of Baltimore City is authorized and empowered
to enter into a contract or contracts with the State [Department of]
Social Services Administration or with any other agency or instru-
mentality of the State of Maryland to employ personnel and render
services to fulfill the terms of a grant or appropriation from the
federal government or another third party with respect to functions
related to the suspension of sentences in criminal cases and the
placing of persons on probation or parole or related to the collection
of civil and criminal orders of support.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

CHAPTER 452
(Senate Bill 386)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 663 (a)
of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Mining," sub-
heading "Strip Mining," increasing the amounts of reclamation
bonds to four hundred dollars ($400.00) per acre and minimum
bonds to three thousand dollars ($3,000.00), and making certifi-
cates of deposit acceptable in lieu of corporate sureties.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 663 (a) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1970 Replacement Volume), title "Natural Resources," subtitle
"Mining," subheading "Strip Mining," be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

663.

(a) After receiving notification from the Director that an appli-
cation for a permit has been approved, but prior to commencing
