part of any person who was in the practice of osteopathy within
this State on April 13, 1914. Such a person appearing before the
clerk of the county in which he or she is practicing, or clerk of the
Circuit Court of Baltimore City, and making affidavit to that effect,
and upon presenting to the clerk a license issued by the State Board
of Osteopathic Examiners and upon payment of a fee of one dollar
shall be registered. Provided further that any osteopathic physician
or physicians, who may have registered previous to the enactment
of this- amendment without having obtained a license from the State
Board of Osteopathic Examiners shall apply for and be granted a
license within sixty days from the enactment of this amendment
or be debarred from further practice, and be subject to the penalties
as provided in Section 477 of this article. Any citizen of Maryland,
having information which causes him to believe that any person is
wrongfully and improperly practicing as an osteopath without having
obtained a license from the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners
as provided for in this subtitle, may apply by petition to the Circuit
Court of Baltimore City, or the circuit court of the county wherein
said osteopathic physician is practicing without having obtained a
license as required by this subtitle, which petition shall be under
oath and shall state that the petitioner is informed and believes
that the person named therein is improperly and wrongfully practic-
ing as an osteopath without having obtained a license from the State
Board of Osteopathic Examiners of Maryland, as required by this
subtitle, and that said petitioner prays that the name of such person
shall be stricken from the registry of osteopathy as kept by the
Clerk of the Circuit Court of Baltimore City or the circuit court
of the county.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

CHAPTER 160
(House Bill 763)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 338 of
Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Health," subtitle "Plumbing," to change
the composition of the Washington County plumbing board and
to redefine the manner of compensation of the members of the
board.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 338 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1965 Replacement Volume), title "Health," subtitle "Plumbing,"
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

338.

The provisions of this subtitle shall not apply to Washington
County, except as hereinafter provided:
