(g) DISINFECTION.

7.1    The water in public swimming pools shall be disinfected through
the use of chemicals such as chlorine and chlorine compounds, or such
other methods acceptable by the Approving Authority.

7.2    Public bathing beaches shall be exempt from maintaining an
adequate chlorine residual; however, they must meet the bacteriological
quality set forth in "Design, Regulations, and Criteria for Public Swim-
ming Pools and Bathing Beaches in Baltimore County."

(h) PENALTY CLAUSE.

8.1 Any person convicted of any violation of these regulations shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined for each such viola-
tion a sum of not more than $200., or imprisonment in the discretion
of the court, and each and every day's violation shall constitute a separate
offense.

(i) SEVERABILITY CLAUSE.

9.1 If any provision of this Act, or the application thereof to any
persons or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of this Act and
the application of such provision to persons or circumstances other than
those as to which it is held invalid shall not be affected thereby.

(j) REPEAL AND DATE OF EFFECT.

10.1 All Acts and parts of Acts in conflict with this Act are hereby
repealed and this Act shall be in full force and effect immediately upon
its adoption and publication as provided by law.

Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect forty-five days after its enactment.

Bill No. 41

An Act to provide for the County, as lessor, to lease County owned
property in furtherance of public purposes by adding Section 2-1
(d) to the Baltimore County Code, 1968, Title "Administration",
Article 1. In General.

Whereas, the County finds it necessary to provide for the leasing of
property belonging to the County in furtherance of public purposes; and

Whereas, pursuant to the provisions contained in Section 5(B),
Article 25A of the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957, as amended, the
County is authorized to provide for the leasing as lessor any property
belonging to the county in furtherance of public purposes; now, therefore

Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Title 2 of the Baltimore
County Code, 1968, as amended, be and it is hereby amended by adding
Section 2-1 (d) thereto to read as follows:

(d) The county is authorized to lease property owned by the county
in furtherance of the public purposes provided the following shall be
complied with:

(1) The lease agreement shall have been advertised at the expense
of the lessee once a week for three successive weeks in one or more
newspapers of general circulation published in Baltimore County, stating
the terms thereof, and the compensation to be received therefor;
