1836 Joint Resolutions
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the Mary-
land State Board of Censors be directed to request all motion picture
theaters in Maryland to refrain from showing previews of (R) and
(X) films to general (G) or parental discretion (GP) audiences; and
be it further
Resolved, That copies of this Resolution be sent to the Chairman
of the Maryland State Board of Censors, and to the Governor of
Maryland.

(House Joint Resolution 31)
House Joint Resolution, urging the General Assembly LEGISLA-
TIVE COUNCIL to investigate nursing home costs for older
citizens needing institutional care.
The rates for patients at nursing homes are very high, making
admission thereto impossible for many patients.
Since public institutions are crowded, many older citizens there-
fore cannot get the care that can be provided only in institutions;
now, therefore, be it
Resolved, That the General Assembly LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL
investigate nursing home costs in the State of Maryland and their
effect on precluding the admission of many older citizens who need
institutional carer; AND BE IT FURTHER
RESOLVED, THAT COPIES OF THIS RESOLUTION BE
SENT TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE, THE SPEAKER
OF THE HOUSE AND THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
