heading "Court Reporters," be and it is hereby repealed; and that
new Section 112 be and it is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to stand
in the place of the section repealed, and to read as follows:

Robert G. MacCartee is hereby authorized to retire from his posi-
tion as Court Reporter in the Counties of the Seventh Judicial Cir-
cuit of Maryland upon reaching the age of seventy years, and the
Judges of the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Maryland are hereby
authorized and empowered by appropriate order to provide for the
retirement of Robert G. MacCartee from his position as Court Re-
porter in said Circuit at any time after June 1, 1957.
In the event of such retirement, he shall be paid from the date
thereof retirement compensation at the rate of $2,400.00 per year,
said compensation to be payable one-half by the County Commis-
sioners of Prince George's County, and the remainder to be paid
equally by the County Commissioners of Calvert, Charles, and St.
Mary's Counties, respectively.]
112.
The resident judge of the Circuit Court for Calvert County, BY
AND WITH THE CONSENT OF THE COUNTY COMMISSION-
ERS OF CALVERT COUNTY, may appoint a clerk who shall receive
an annual compensation, which shall be fixed by the County Com-
missioners after consultation with the resident judge, but which may
not be in excess of seven thousand dollars ($7,000.00). This com-
pensation shall be provided for in the annual levy and paid as other
expenses and salaries are paid for the conduct of business of the
Circuit Court.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

(House Bill 867)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 148 of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement
Volume and 1970 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," sub-
title "Boards of License Commissioners," and to repeal and re-
enact, with amendments, Section 151 of Article 2B of the same
Code, Replacement Volume and Supplement, and same title and
subtitle, AND TO ADD NEW SECTION 155(W) TO SAID
ARTICLE, TITLE AND SUBTITLE, TO FOLLOW IMMEDI-
ATELY AFTER SECTION 155(V) THEREOF; to provide for
the appointment of the Worcester County Board of License Com-
missioners by the Governor with the confirmation of the Senate,
thereby relieving the county commissioners of the position, PRO-
VIDING FOR THE SALARIES OF THE BOARD, and matters
generally related to the Board and terms of office.
