632) their Appurtenances and may thereby be enabled to accept and take a Grant or Release of the Revertion and Inheritance thereof to him and his Heirs in such Manner and for such Uses Intents and purposes as the said Leonard Greenwell and Winified his Wife doth intend to grant or release the same by Indenture intended to bear date the Day next after the Day of the Date of these presents In witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands and seald the Day and year first above written Sealed and Delivered his in the presence of Leonard L Greenwell Seal Elie Vallette Mark her James Dixon Wynefred + Greenwell seal mark On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus Written viz Reced on the day and year first within Written of and from the within John Booth the sum of five Shillings Current Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned to be by him paid me Test his James Dixon Leonard L Greenwell Mark her 5 3/4 sides Winifred + Greenwell recorded 17.th Sept.r 1765 mark Ex.d This Indenture made this eighth Day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty five Between Leonard Greenwell of Saint Marys County Planter and Winifred his Wife of the first Part John Booth of the same County planter of the second part and James Tilghman the third of the City of Annapolis Attorney at Law of the third part Witnesseth that for Redocking boaring and extinguishing of all Estates Tail of and in the Lands Tenements and other the Hereditaments herein after mentioned their and every of their Appurtenances and all the Reversions and Remainders thereupon expectant or depending and for Settling the same Lands Tenements and Hereditaments with their and every of their Appurtenances to for and upon the uses Intents and purposes herein after mentioned and declared particularly and for and in consideration of the sum of Nine thousand pounds of Crop Tobacco to the said Leonard Greenwell and Winifred his Wife in hand paid by the said John Booth at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and for other Good Causes and Considerations hereunto Moving they the same Leonard Greenwell and Winifred his Wife (by and with the Advice and Consent of the said James Tilghman testified by his being party to and his sealing and executing these presents have granted bargained sold aliened remised released enffeoffed and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien remise released enfeoff and confirm unto the said John Booth (in his actual possession now being by virtue of a Bargain and sale to him thereof made by the same Leonard Greenwell and Winifred his Wife by Indenture bearing Date the Day next before the Day of the Date of these presents (for) |
