470 seven shillings Sterling for the use of the Lord Baltimore being the Alienation fine on the within Land by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq his said Lordships Agent and receiver General Benj.a Beall Recorded the 8.th day of Decem.r 1764 7 1/2 Sides This Indenture made this Seventh day of November in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Sixty four Between Jonathan Maclaughlin of Ann Arundel County Ship Carpenter of the one Part and Charles Hammond Jun.r of the County aforesaid Gentleman of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Jonathan Maclaughlin for and in Consideration of the sum of One hundred and Sixty three pounds Current Money to him in hand Paid well and Truly Paid by the said Charles Hammond Jun.r at the ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the receipt whereof the said Jonathan doth hereby Acknowledge and therewith Confess himself to be fully Content and Satisfyed He the said Jonathan Maclaughlan hath Granted Bargained and Sold Conveyed and Confirmed and doth by these Presents Grant Bargain and Sell Convey and Confirm unto Charles Hammond Jun.r his Heirs and Assigns forever the following Tract or Parcell of Land called Jacksons Chance lying in Ann Arundel County upon the West side of a Branch Creek called Curtises Creek Begining at a Bounded Pine on the South side of a Branch of the said Creek called Cabbin Branch and running South and by West Two hundred Perches to a Bounded red Oak then running West Thirty two Perches to a Bounded White Oak then running North West One hundred and fifty three Perches to a Bounded White Oak of the land of George Hopes then running North Sixty Perches to a bounded White Oak standing in the aforesaid Branch then running North east and by North sixteen Perches then by a direct Line to the first bounded tree Containing and laid out for One hundred and fifty Acres of Land more or less as by the Pattent thereof Recorded in the Land Records Lib.r NS Number Two folio five hundred and four may more fully Appear Together with all and Singular the Premises Appurtenances and Improvements unto the said (Tract) |
