397 Justices of Ann Arundel County Court Reverdy Ghiselin William Steuart Be it remembered that on the fourth day of September in the Year Seventeen hundred and Sixty four full Possession and Seisin of the Land and Premisses within mentioned were by John Merrican Attorney for that Purpose Constituted and Appointed by the Vestrymen and Churchwardens within mentioned delivered over to the within named Horatio Sharpe Esquire To hold to him the said Horatio Sharpe and his Heirs forever According to the Intents and true meaning of the within Written Indenture In the Presence of us The Words John Merrican Attorney for that Purpose constituted and Appointed by being first Interlined Reverdy Ghiselin William Steuart 1764 Sept.r 6 Received of his Excellency Horatio Sharpe Esq three shillings Sterling for the use of the Lord Baltimore being the Alienation fine on the within One hundred and fifty Acres of Land by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq his said Lordships Agent and receiver General Benj.a Beall Recorded the 6.th September 1764 18 sd Know all Men by these Presents that We the Vestrymen and Churchwardens of the Parish of St Margarets Westminster in Ann Arundel County have Assigned made and in our Place put & have Constituted by these Presents John Merriken of the same Parish our True and lawfull Attorney to enter for us in our stead and in the name of the Vestrymen and Churchwardens Westminster into all that Tract (or) |
