       one two or more of them for him the said Jonathan Forward and
       on his behalf to acknowledge the said Indenture so by him executed
       as af.d before Such Person or Persons in Maryland af.d who are or shall
       be Authorized or impowered to receive the Same and to Cause and
       procure the said Indenture to be registered in all or any Court or
       Courts Place or Places in Maryland af.d according to the Laws and
       Customs of the said Province as fully and Effectually to all Intents as
       He the said Jonathan Forward might or could do if he was there
       Personally Present and did the same and the said Jonathan Forward
       Doth hereby Ratifie and Confirm the said Acknowledgement and Registring
       of the said Indenture so to be had and made by the said Edward
       Dorsey William Lux Nicholas Maccubbin and Joseph Cowman Jointly or any one two or
       more of them as afd In Witness whereof the said Jonathan Forward hath hereunto set his Hand
       and Seal this twenty first Day of December in the twenty eighth year of the Reign of our
       Sovereign Lord George the second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland
       King Defender of the Faith &ca and in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and
       fifty four

                               On the Back of the aforegoing Power of Attorney was thus Endorsed Viz.t

          Came before me the Subscriber one of the Justices of the Provincial Court of
       Maryland Samuel Galloway being one of the People Called Quakers
       and Solemnly affirmed that he saw the within Named Jonathan Forward
       Sign Seal and Deliver the within Power of P Attorney as his Act and
       Deed and that he the said Sam.l Galloway together with the other
       Subscribing Witnesses Signed their Names as Witnesses the same
                          affirmed to before me this 11.th June 1755
       before Jn.o Brice
12   Recorded the 12.th June 1755


                This Indenture made the twenty first Day of December in
Exam.d the Year of Our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Fifty four
       Between Jonathan Forward of the City of London in the Kingdom ^of England^
