430) of Almighty God that he saw William Torver Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson Sign Seal and Deliver the within Deed as their Act and Deed and at the same time saw Matthias Harris and Alexander Williamson the other two Subscribing Witnesses Sign the same as Evidences John Hepburn Maryland 27 June 1753 Appeared before me one of the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietors Justices of the Provincial Court Brian Philpot J.r & by Virtue of the above Power of Attorney for and on behalf of the within named W.m Torver Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson Assignees of John Philpot and C.o Acknowledged the within Deed and Lands therein Conveyed to be the Right of the within named James Perry his Heirs and Assignes Acknowledged before 7 1/2 John Hepburn Recorded October 17.th 1753 Ex.d This Indenture made the Ninth day of February in the Year of our Lord God One Thousand seven hundred fifty and three Between William Torver Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson of the City of London in the Kingdom of Great Britain Merchants Assignees of John Philpot late of London Merchant on the one part and James Perry of Frederick County in the Province of Maryland Planter on the other part Witnesseth that the said William Torver Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson for and in Consideration of the Sum of One hundred and twelve pounds Current ^Money^ To them in hand by the said James Perry well and truly paid the Receipt whereof the said William Torver Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson do hereby Acknowledge Have given granted bargained sold Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents Do fully clearly and absolutely Give Grant Bargain Alien Sell Enfeoff and Confirm unto the said James Perry his Heirs and Assigns for ever All that Tract or Parcel of Land lying and being in Frederick County aforesaid called being part of a Tract of Land called Wickhams Park Beginning at a Bounded White Oak standing on the head of a Glade which makes into the Piney Branch otherwise called Watts Branch near to a Tract of Land called the Joseph and James and running thence North fifteen Degrees West One hundred and twenty Perches thence North seventy five Degrees East forty Perches thence South forty Degrees East One hundred and twenty Perches thence East One hundred and twenty Perches thence South forty Six Degrees East One hundred Perches thence South five Degrees East (sixty) |
