109) Maryland fs.t Ex.d This Indenture made this 28.th Day of Sep.r in the Year of our Lord ^God^ Seventeen hundred and thirty Nine Between Snowden Taylor of Ann Arundell County Wheelwright of the one Part and John Penn of Baltimore County Planter of the other Part Witnesseth that the ^said^ Snowden Taylor for and in Consideration of the Sum of thirty one Pounds ten Shillings ^Sterling^ Money of England to him in hand paid at or before the Ensealing & Delivery of these Presents by the said John Penn the Receipt whereof He the said Snowden Taylor doth hereby acknowledge & himself therewith fully satisfyed & paid and thereof and every Part and Parcell thereof doth Clearly acquit Exonerate and Discharge the said John Penn his Heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs for Ever hath given granted bargained sold aliened and Confirmed & by these Presents do fully clearly and Absolutely give grant bargain sell alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto the said John Penn his Heirs and Assignes All that tract or Parcell of Land Called Hopes Lott lying in Baltemore County Beginning a bounded Elm being the Eastermost bounded Tree of William Slades Land & running thence North West One hundred & Sixty Perches to a bounded Poplar Standing by a Run descending into Gwinns Falls thence South West two hundred Perches to a bounded red Oak on a hill by a Glade thence Sout East One hundred & Sixty Perches to a bounded Hickory of William Slades Land then by a Streight line to the first Tree Containing two hundred Acres of Land more or less with all & Singular the Premisses and Appurtenances thereunto belonging To have and to hold the af.d two hundred Acres of Land & every Part and Parcell thereof together with all & Singular the Premisses & Appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him the said John Penn his Heirs & Assignes unto the only Proper use & behoofe of the said John Penn his Heirs and Assignes for Ever And the said Snowden Taylor and his Heirs the said two hundred Acres of Land & Every Part & Parcell thereof unto the said John Penn and his Heirs in manner & form af.d Conveyed against him the said Snowden Taylor and his Heirs & against all & Every other Person & Persons whatsoever shall and will warrant & for Ever Defend And the said Snowden Taylor doth for himself and his Heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs Covenant Promise Grant and Agree to and with the said John Penn his Heirs and Assignes that He the said John Penn his Heirs and Assignes shall and may Peaceably & quietly have hold occupy possess and Enjoy the af.d bargained Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances free from any Molestation or interruption of any Person or Persons whatsoever And further that he the said Snowden Taylor & his Heirs shall upon request & at the Charges in the Law of him the said John Penn his Heirs & Assignes or his or their Council learned in the Law be reasonably devised advised or required for the better and more suremaking the said bargained Land and Premisses to the said John Penn his Heirs and Assignes for Ever In Witness whereof the Party to these Presents first abovenamed hath (hereunto) |
