Maryland fs (187) x.d This Indenture made the 31.th day of March Anno Dom seventeen hundred and Twenty seven Between Philip Norwood of Baltemore County planter of the one part and Richard Bennett of Queen Anns County Esq.r of the other part Wittnesseth that the said Philip Norwood for and in Consideration of the sume of forty three pounds and four pence halfe penny Good and lawfull Money of Great Brittain him in hand paid at and before the Ensealing and Deliver of these presents the receipt whereof he Doth hereby Acknowledge and Ever therefrom Acquitt Exonerate and Discharge y.e s.d Richard Bennett his heirs Execut.rs & Adm.rs by these present Hath Given Grant Granted bargained sold Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these presents Doth Give Grant bargaine Sell Enfeoff Alienate and Confirm unto the said Richard Bennett his heirs and assignes for Ever all that tract or parcell of Land Called Desart lying on the west side of the North Branch of Patuxant River Beginning at at bounded Red Oake in the Woods It being the Northermost bounded Tree of Thomas Brown and runing from the said tree North three Degrees East One hundred forty six perches then south Fifty Eight Degrees East One hundred ninty four perches thence south six Degrees East one hundred forty six perches then streight to the first Tree Containing and Laid Out for one hundred forty Eight Acres of Land More or less according to the Certificate of Survey thereof taken and returned into his Lordships Land office Dated May the Twelfth One thousand six hundred Ninty six together w.th all and singular the appurtenances to the same beloinging or in any ways appertaining as by same was by the Lord propry of this province Granted under y.e Broad seale of the said province bearing Date the Twelfth day of June sixteen hundred Ninty six unto Thomas Blakwell of Annarundell County Innholder which said Thomas Blakwell Devised and bequeathed the said tract of Land and premise unto a certain John Dorsey and to his heires and assignes for ever as by the last will and Testament of the said Thomas Blackwell remaining upon Record in the prerogative Court of this province may appear and which said John Dorsey by his Deed Duely Made Executed and Recorded bearing Date the 21.th day of July seventeen hundred Twenty four Did for the Consideration therein Mentioned Give Grant bargaine sell Enfeoff alienate and Confirme unto the said Philip Norwood one of y.e parties to these presents and to his heirs and assignes for ever all the af.d tract of Land (and) |
