Sec. 2. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect

CHAPTER 328
(House Bill 193)

AN ACT to add new Section 76A to Article 43 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title "Health," to
follow immediately after Section 76 thereof, and to be under the
new subtitle "Blood Donations," to allow certain minors to donate
blood without parental permission.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 76A be and it is hereby added to Article 43 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title
"Health," to follow immediately after Section 76 thereof, to be under
the new subtitle "Blood Donations," and to read as follows:

Blood Donations
76A.

Notwithstanding any other provisions of the law, any minor
eighteen (18) years of age or older may donate blood without
parental permission or authorization, providing that no monetary
compensation is received.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1970.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 37(a)
of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Supple-
ment REPLACEMENT VOLUME), title "Public Education," sub-
title "Chapter 4: County Boards of Education," to provide payment
for expenses for members of the Cecil County Board of Education.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 37(a) of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1969 Supplement REPLACEMENT VOLUME), title "Public Edu-
cation," subtitle "Chapter 4: County Boards of Education," be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
