20.303—Rates for Private Fire Protection System

(a)    The following charges are hereby established effective July 1,
1969, for unmetered water connections for the purpose of providing
private fire protection and shall be billed and paid annually QUARTERLY:

(b)    The County Executive or his designee shall enter into written
agreements with each unmetered private fire protection system user gov-
erning such use under such terms and conditions as may be determined
by the Director of Public Works. No charge shall be made for water
actually used to extinguish a fire, but such water shall not be used for any
other purpose.

(c) Whenever the Director of the Department of Public Works shall
find that unmetered private fire protection water is being used for purposes

other than fire protection, he may estimate the amount of water so used
and charge for the same at the rates provided for in Section 20.302 and

may deny further unmetered service to such premises. WHENEVER
THE DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS SHALL
FIND THAT UNMETERED PRIVATE FIRE PROTECTION WATER
IS BEING OR HAS BEEN USED FOR PURPOSES OTHER THAN
FIRE PROTECTION, HE SHALL DENY FURTHER UNMETERED
SERVICE TO SUCH PREMISES.

20.304—Public Fire Hydrant Charge

There is hereby established, a public fire hydrant charge of Ten
Dollars ($10.00), which charge shall be paid annually from the general
funds of the County into the Metropolitan District funds.

20.305—Water Connection Charge

(a) There is hereby established a water connection charge for every
water connection made to the County water system.
