(b) The committing magistrates shall devote their full time to the
duties of the office and shall each receive an annual salary of not less
than
[five] six thousand dollars [($5,000.00)] $6,000.00. The deputy
committing magistrates shall each receive an annual salary of fifteen
hundred dollars ($1,500.00).

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That said sections be and they
are hereby transferred and codified in Section 98B-9 (a) and (b),
respectively of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964
Replacement Volume and 1967 Cumulative Supplement), provided
that Chapter of the Acts of 1968 (House Bill 465) is enacted.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

CHAPTER 533
(Senate Bill 286)

AN ACT to add new Sections 355A to 355G, inclusive, to Article 27
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume),
title "Crimes and Punishments," to follow immediately after
Section 355 thereof and to be under the new subtitle "Liquefied
Petroleum Gas," imposing certain restrictions upon the filling or
refilling of containers with liquefied petroleum gas or certain
other gases or other compounds, relating to the marking of con-
tainers used for liquefied petroleum gas and the removal of marks
thereon, relating to the filling or use of such containers, and relat-
ing generally to the containers for liquefied petroleum gas or any
other gas or compound in this state.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Sections 355A to 355G, inclusive, be and they are hereby
added to Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967
Replacement Volume), title "Crimes and Punishments," to follow
immediately after Section 355 thereof and to be under the new sub-
title "Liquefied Petroleum Gas," and to read as follows:

855 A.

(a)   The term, "person" as used in this subtitle means any person,
firm, or corporation.

(b)   The term "owner" as used in this subtitle means any person
who holds a written bill of sale under which title
OR OWNERSHIP
to a container was transferred to such person, or any manufacturer
of a container who has not sold or transferred ownership thereof
by written bill of sale.

(c)   The term "liquefied petroleum gas" as used in this subtitle
means any material which is composed predominately of any of the
following hydrocarbons or mixtures of the same: propane, propylene,
butanes (normal butane and iso-butane) and butylenes.
