CHAPTER 504
(Senate Bill 86)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 23 of
Article 78A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Public Works," subtitle "Department of Im-
provements," to provide that appointments to the State Board of
Architectural Review may be made from a list submitted by the
Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 23 of Article 78A of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1965 Replacement Volume), title "Public Works," subtitle "De-
partment of Improvements," be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

23.

There is hereby established a Board of Architectural Review,
which shall be composed of seven members to be appointed by the
Director from a list of not less than five names to be submitted by
the Baltimore Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, and
from a list of not less than five names to be submitted by the
Potomac Valley of Maryland Chapter of the American Institute of
Architects and from a list of not less than five names to be sub-
mitted by the Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the American Institute
of Architects.
The terms of the members first appointed shall be
two years and thereafter the terms shall be four years. It shall be
the duty of the Director to refer all major and important architec-
tural problems and plans concerning the construction, reconstruction
and repair of State buildings to the Board of Architectural Review,
and it shall also be the duty of said Director and staff to consult the
members of said Board in connection with the State building pro-
gram. The members of said Board shall serve without compensa-
tion but shall be reimbursed for any traveling or other expenses
in the performance of their duties under this section.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

CHAPTER 505
(Senate Bill 89)

AN ACT to add new Section 20 to Article 75½ of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supple-
ment), title "Professional Engineer and Land Surveyors," to fol-
low immediately after Section 19 thereof, to provide that licensed
engineers or land surveyors may practice through a corporation
or partnership, to provide certain requirements and liabilities for
such corporations and partnerships.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 20 be and it is hereby added to Article 75½ of
