Code of Maryland, are transferred to and may be held or used by the
Department of Fiscal Services or the Division of Audits created by
this Act. All employees of the former office of the State Auditor, up
to and including the Deputy Auditor, who held their positions for not
less than the six months preceding the effective date of this Act, are
transferred to and are employees of the Department of Fiscal Services
or Division of Audits here created, with no further or qualifying ex-
aminations and with no diminution or harmful change in status or
salary, except as these employees hereafter are subject to the regular
provisions applying to and affecting State employees. All references
to the former office of State Auditor or its employees or duties, in the
laws, resolutions, ordinances, regulations, rules, or records of any de-
partment or other agency of this State or of one of its political subdi-
visions, are transferred to and are references to the Division of
Audits created by this Act.

Sec. 7. And be it further enacted, That all funds, unexpended
appropriations, credits, furniture and fixtures, books, accounts,
records and other properties of the former Fiscal Research Bureau
are transferred to and may be used by the Department of Fiscal
Services or the Division of Fiscal Research created by this Act. All
employees of the former Fiscal Research Bureau, up to and including
the positions known as Administrative Analysts, who held their
positions for not less than the six months preceding the effective date
of this Act, are transferred to and are employees of the Department
of Fiscal Services or Division of Fiscal Research here created, with
no further or qualifying examinations and with no diminution or
harmful change in status or salary, except as these employees here-
after are subject to the regular provisions applying to and affecting
State employees. All references to the former Fiscal Research Bureau
or its employees or duties, in the laws, resolution, ordinances, regula-
tions, rules, or records of any department or other agency of this
State or one of its political subdivisions, are transferred to and are
references to the Division of Fiscal Research here created.

Sec. 8. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

CHAPTER 457
(Senate Bill 21)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 107(E) AND 108 through 127, inclusive,
of Article 41 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replace-
ment Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "Governor—Executive
and Administrative Departments," subtitle "The Executive Depart-
ment," subheading "Department of Parole and Probation," and to
enact new Sections 107(E) AND 108 through 127, inclusive, in
lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the sections so repealed, and
to change the subheading "Department of Parole and Probation" to
be "Board and Department of Parole and Probation, OF PAROLE"
