specified places on Sunday TO LIMIT WORK OR LABOR OF THE
SELLING OF MERCHANDISE OR ARTICLES OR OPERATION
OF SPECIFIED PLACES ON CERTAIN DAYS IN PRINCE
GEORGE'S COUNTY; TO EXCEPT CERTAIN PERSONS IN
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY OBSERVING A DAY OTHER
THAN SUNDAY AS A DAY OF REST AND RECREATION; TO
FURTHER REGULATE BUSINESS IN PRINCE GEORGE'S
COUNTY REGARDING THE WORK WEEK; AND TO PRO-
VIDE INJUNCTIVE RELIEF AND PENALTIES FOR VIOLA-
TIONS.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 534G be and it is SECTIONS 534G AND 534H
BE AND THEY ARE hereby added to Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supple-
ment), title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "Crimes and Pun-
ishments," subheading "Sabbath Breaking," to follow immediately
after Section 534F thereof, and to read as follows:

534G. Exception as to Prince George's County.

Nothing contained in Sections 492, 521, or 522 of this Article, as
amended from time to time, shall be applicable within Prince
George's County.

534H. IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY

(A)    IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, EXCEPT AS SPE-
CIFICALLY IN THIS SECTION OTHERWISE PROVIDED, IT
IS UNLAWFUL ON SUNDAY FOR ANY WHOLESALE OR
RETAIL ESTABLISHMENT TO CONDUCT BUSINESS FOR
LABOR OR PROFIT IN THE USUAL MANNER AND LOCA-
TION OR TO OPERATE ITS ESTABLISHMENT IN ANY
MANNER FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC. IT SHALL NOT
CAUSE, DIRECT, PERMIT, OR AUTHORIZE ANY EMPLOYEE
OR AGENT TO ENGAGE IN OR CONDUCT BUSINESS ON
ITS BEHALF ON SUNDAY.

(B)    NOTWITHSTANDING ANY PROVISION OF THIS SEC-
TION, THE OPERATION OF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING
TYPES OF RETAIL ESTABLISHMENTS IS ALLOWED ON
SUNDAY.

1.   DRUG STORES WHOSE PRINCIPAL BUSINESS IS THE
SALE OF DRUGS AND RELATED ITEMS.

2.   DELICATESSENS WHOSE PRINCIPAL BUSINESS IS
THE SALE OF DELICATESSENS AND RELATED FOOD
ITEMS.

3.   BAKERIES AND BAKE SHOPS.

4.   GASOLINE STATIONS WHOSE PRINCIPAL BUSINESS
IS THE SALE OF GASOLINE, OIL, AND OTHER AUTOMO-
BILE MAINTENANCE ITEMS.

(C)    NOTHING IN THIS SECTION APPLIES TO:

1.    FARMERS

2.    NURSERYMEN
