proceeds to be distributed to each department shall be determined
by the Board of Fire and Rescue Commissioners, which is hereby
created and which shall be composed of [five] six members, one
of whom shall be a County Commissioner of Charles County, one
of whom shall be appointed by the Charles County Volunteer Fire-
men's Association, one of whom shall be appointed by the Charles
County Volunteer Rescue Squad Association and three of whom
shall be appointed by the Governor. The members of the board shall
serve without compensation for terms of four years each with
vacancies to be filled in the same manner as the original member-
ship was filled. Providing further that the initial term of the
member appointed by the Charles County Rescue Squad Association
shall be for two years.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 96 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Charles County being Article 9 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1959 Edition and
1962 Supplement), title "Charles County," subtitle "Electrical
Apparatus and Wiring," subheading "Board; appointment, quali-
fications, tenure," as added, by Chapter 182, Section 105A of the
Acts of 1951; to provide for changes in the appointment, qualifica-
tions and tenure of the Board of Examiners and Supervisors for
persons seeking to engage in the business of Master Electrician
in Charles County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 96 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Charles County
being Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1959
Edition and 1962 Supplement), title "Charles County," subtitle
"Electrical Apparatus and Wiring," subheading "Board: appoint-
ment, qualifications, tenure," be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
96. Board; appointment, qualifications, tenure.
The Board of County Commissioners of Charles County shall,
within thirty (30) days after June 1, 1951, appoint a board which
shall be known as the Board of Examiners and Supervisors, con-
sisting of three (3) persons, for the purpose of examining into the
qualifications and capabilities of all persons who are engaged or
desire to engage in the business of Master Electrician as defined in
this subtitle. The board so appointed shall consist of [two competent]
three persons [,] [familiar with the electrical business, residing in]
who are residents of Charles County, whose term of office shall be
for [two] six years, [and a member of a Charles County Volunteer
Fire Company, whose term of office shall run for the same period
