470A.

All health insurance policies issued or delivered in this State,
which provide insurance against expenses incurred for services which
optometrists are licensed to perform under the provisions of Article
43, shall obligate the insurer, in accordance with the other provisions
of said policies, to insure such expenses when rendered by an
optometrist.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

CHAPTER 584
(Senate Bill 488)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 31 through 36, inclusive, 41 through 47,
inclusive, and 49 of Article 96A of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition and 1967 Supplement), title "Water Re-
sources," subtitle "Well Drillers"; and to enact new Sections 75
through 83, inclusive, to be under the subtitle "Well Drillers";
AND TO REPEAL SECTION 49 OF ARTICLE 96A OF THE
ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND (1964 REPLACEMENT
VOLUME), TITLE "WATER RESOURCES," SUBTITLE
"WELL DRILLERS," AND TO ENACT NEW SECTION 49 IN
LIEU THEREOF, TO STAND IN THE PLACE OF THE SEC-
TION REPEALED; to revise the laws applicable to well drillers;
to provide generally for the regulation and licensing of well
drillers; to create a new administration agency to be known as
the Maryland State Board of Well Drillers; providing generally
for the creation, powers, personnel, duties, compensation, qualifi-
cations and tenure of the Board; to provide for the issuance,
refusal, revocation and suspension of well driller licenses; provid-
ing for the enforcement of the Act and for penalties; providing
criminal penalties; and providing for the transfer of licensing and
certain rule making powers of the Department of Water Re-
sources to the said Board; and empowering the Board generally
to regulate the business of well drilling to the exclusion of other
agencies and of political subdivisions.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 31 through 36, inclusive, 41 through 47, inclusive, and
49 of Article 96A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition
and 1967 Supplement), title "Water Resources," subtitle "Well
Drillers," be and they are hereby repealed, and that new Sections 75
through 83, inclusive, be and they are hereby enacted in lieu thereof
to stand in the place of the sections so repealed, and to be under the
subtitle "Well Drillers," AND THAT SECTION 49 OF THE SAME
ARTICLE, TITLE, AND SUBTITLE OF THE SAME CODE IS
HEREBY REPEALED, AND THAT NEW SECTION 49 IS HERE-
BY ENACTED IN LIEU THEREOF, TO STAND IN THE PLACE
OF THE SECTION SO REPEALED, and ALL to read as follows:
