the public of this fact]. Such notice shall not be more than
[3½" x 2"] 3" x 5" 3½ INCHES X 5½ INCHES and may only con-
tain the name, title, address, telephone number, and office hours of
such dentist. If specializing, the name of the specialty may be used.

21.

Any person who shall practice, or attempt to practice dentistry
within the State of Maryland, without having a license as herein-
before provided or during the period of suspension or revocation of
such license previously granted shall be deemed guilty of a misde-
meanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not less than
[two] three hundred dollars [($200.00)] ($300.00) nor more than
tone] two thousand dollars [($1,000.00)] ($2,000.00), or be con-
fined not more than six months in jail, in the discretion of the judge
or judges of the circuit court of the respective counties of this State,
or the judge or judges of the Criminal Court of Baltimore City,
before whom the matter shall be tried; and upon conviction of a
subsequent offense, shall be confined not more than one year in the
penitentiary or fined not less than [five hundred ($500.)] one
thousand dollars ($1,000.00) nor more than {[three] six thousand
dollars [($3,000.00)] ($6,000.00). Any violation of this article by
a person convicted under the then existing laws of this State of
practicing dentistry without a license or registration shall be in-
cluded in the term subsequent offense. Every conviction of unlawful
practice subsequent to a first conviction thereof shall be a conviction
of a subsequent offense.

(c)   Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction, shall be fined
not less than [two] three hundred dollars [($200.00)] ($300.00)
nor more than [one] two thousand dollars [($1,000.00)] ($2,000.00)
or be confined not more than six months in jail.

29.

[(c) On or before the last day of each calendar year thereafter,
the holder of a license shall renew the same by the payment of a
registration fee in the sum of two dollars ($2.00) and by furnishing
such information and data as the Board may at the time require.]

(d)   Every person licensed by the Board to practice dental hygiene
in Maryland shall annually, before April 1st, be required to register
his name, license number, degree, school of graduation, year of
graduation, office locations and telephone numbers and state whether
or not he is in active practice, on a form furnished by the Board of
Dental Examiners. He shall pay a fee of [two] not to exceed five
dollars [($2.00)] ($5.00) for such registration, and the Board shall
issue a certificate of registration which shall be kept in the office
where he is employed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.
