swear or affirm that she is over the age of sixteen years, and, in the
case of a male, swear or affirm that he is over the age of eighteen
years. Provided, however, that on the certificate of a licensed physi-
cian, presented with the application for a marriage license, to the ef-
fect that the girl is pregnant or has given birth to a child, a marriage
license may be issued without the consent of her parent or guardian,
and if the putative father of the child or prospective child of a girl
under eighteen years of age is over sixteen years of age, a marriage
license may be issued without the consent of his parents or guardian,.]

(a) A male over the age of 18 years and under the age of 21
years, or a female over the age of 16 years and under the age of 18
years, may marry, with the consent of the parent or guardian, if
the
parent or guardian swears or affirms that
he or she THE CHILD OR
WARD is over the age of 18 years or 16 years, as the case may be. A
male over the age of 18 years or a female over the age of 16 years may
marry without parental or guardian's consent, where required, upon
presenting a certificate from a licensed physician stating that he has
examined the female and positively ascertained that she is pregnant
or has given birth to a child.

(2) (B) A male under the age of 18 years or a female under the
age of 16 years may not marry except as allowed by this paragraph.
Such a marriage shall be made only with the consent of the parent or
guardian of the male under 18 years
or AND/OR the female under 16
years,
AS THE CASE MAY BE, upon the presentation of a certificate
from a licensed physician stating that he has examined the female and
positively ascertained that she is pregnant or has given birth to a
child, and with the approval of
AFTER CONSULTATION WITH the
juvenile court judge for the county or the City of Baltimore.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1,1967.

CHAPTER 574
(House Bill 17)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 288 (f)
of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Revenue and Taxes," subtitle "Income Tax,"
amending the law relating to the additional corporate tax for the
Maryland Port Authority Fund by raising the rate of said tax
by one-quarter of one per cent (¼%) commencing as of July 1,
1967, and providing for setting aside in the Annuity Bond Fund
so much as shall be required to pay principal and interest due
in the year of receipt and in the next following year, to the extent
not previously set aside on the bonds or certificates of indebtedness
issued under provisions of Section 8B of Article 62B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
