CHAPTER 29
(Senate Bill 47)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 9A of
Article 1A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Supplement),
title "Aeronautics", subtitle "Operation of Aircraft", amending
the law concerning insurance on aircraft rented or leased to air-
men in order to correct an error therein.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 9A of Article 1A of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1965 Supplement), title "Aeronautics", subtitle "Operation of Air-
craft", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
9A. (a) No airman, fixed-base operator, air school or other per-
son shall rent or lease any aircraft to a renter-pilot unless there is
a policy of insurance in force on said aircraft covering claims by
passengers or other persons for injuries to them or damage to their
property arising out of the operation of the aircraft (commonly
called "liability" insurance).
(b) The "liability" insurance shall be in amount of not less than
$50,000 bodily injury per person, $100,000 per accident, and $50,000
physical damage protection.
(c) Proof of insurance shall be furnished annually to the Com-
mission at the time each aircraft is registered pursuant to Section 22
of this article. The aircraft owner shall immediately notify the
[Commissioner] Commission if coverage should terminate for any
reason prior to the expiration of the State registration certificate
for the aircraft.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 194 (j)
of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Supple-
ment), title "Licenses", subtitle "Dog Licenses in the Counties",
amending the laws concerning dogs and dog licenses in Worcester
County in order to correct an error therein.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
