shall be continued, and for each defendant named in any suit in
excess of two an additional fee of $1.50 shall be added to the costs.
The entire amount of such fees shall be paid over monthly to the
County Commissioners by the Justice of the Peace to whom said
filing fees were paid.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 13-23 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Frederick County (1959 Edition,
being Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Frederick County," subtitle "Part I. General Local Laws,"
subheading "Chapter 13. Roads and Public Grounds," to require
that the Frederick County Engineer fee be a licensed professional
engineer , AND HIS ASSISTANT, HAVE CERTAIN SPECIFIED
QUALIFICATIONS and to correct obsolete references.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 13-23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Frederick
County (1959 Edition, being Article 11 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Frederick County," subtitle "Part I. Gen-
eral Local Laws," subheading "Chapter 13. Roads and Public
Grounds," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
13-23.
The county [roads] engineer shall be a qualified engineer with
four years of college education, a degree [of civil engineer] in civil
engineering, be licensed as a professional engineer, and at least three
years successful experience in road construction and design. The
assistant county [roads] engineer shall be a qualified engineer with
a degree [of civil engineer] in civil engineering from an accredited
engineering school OR HAVE TEN YEARS OF SUPERVISORY
EXPERIENCE IN HEAVY CONSTRUCTION.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.
