Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 2(a) (64) of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Motor Vehicles," subtitle "In Gen-
eral," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

(64) Transporter. Every person engaged in the business of de-
livering vehicles of a type required to be registered hereunder from
a manufacturing, assembling, or distributing plant to point of
destination, including the transportation or moving of motor vehicles
to or from places of business for purposes of repair, painting1 or
remodeling.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 4 of
Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Attorney at Law and Attorneys in Fact," subtitle "Admission
to the Bar," to increase the educational requirements for prelegal
education of law students in this state.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 4 of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in Fact,"
subtitle "Admission to the Bar," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(a) From and after June 1, 1957, no person shall begin the
study of the law under the provisions of this section and Section 3
of this Article unless and until, in addition to the requisites for the
study of law as provided in Section 3 of this article, he or she
submits proof satisfactory to the State Board of Law Examiners
that he or she has successfully completed two years of college work
or its equivalent.
For the purposes of this subsection (a), successful completion of
sixty (60) semester hours of academic work in fields of study pre-
scribed by the Court of Appeals and the Maryland State Department
of Education taken in an educational institution approved to give
such prelegal training by the Maryland State Department of Educa-
tion shall be accepted as satisfactory compliance with the require-
ments of this subsection. [The requirements for prelegal education
as provided in the existing law shall continue until May 3, 1957.]
