NOTE

Two bills were vetoed by the Governor of Maryland following the
Special Session of the General Assembly which began on March 11,
1964. One of these bills was a House bill and one was a Senate bill.

Following the provisions of Section 17 of Article 2 of the Con-
stitution of Maryland, all vetoed bills must be referred to the House
in which they originated immediately after the House shall be
organized at the next regular or special session of the General As-
sembly of Maryland, for reconsideration.

A three-fifths vote of the members elected to each House is re-
quired to enact a bill over the veto of the Governor.
