INTRODUCTION OF BILLS
House Bill No. 56—By the Somerset County Delegation:
A Bill entitled: An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 11 of Article 49B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1963 Supple-
ment), title "Interracial Commission," subtitle "Discrimination in Public
Accommodations"; and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
16 of said Article, subtitle "Enforcement Powers of Commission," amend-
ing the laws concerning discrimination in certain forms of public accom-
modation in this State and also the laws concerning the enforcement
powers of the Interracial Commission, in order to make these laws effec-
tive in Somerset County, contingent upon a referendum therein.

Rules.
House Bill No. 57—By the Caroline County Delegation:
A Bill entitled: An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 140 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1963
Supplement), title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "False Pretenses,
Bad Checks, etc.," making provision as to Caroline County in the law
concerning the obtaining by any false pretense of certain chattels, monies
or valuable securities.
