[Robert F. Maddox, the present Treasurer and clerk to the County
Commissioners, shall hold office under this Act until his successor is
elected and qualified. An election for Treasurer shall be held at the
general election in November, 1913, and every four years thereafter,
and any] Any County Treasurer elected in Somerset County [after
the passage of this Act] shall qualify on the first Tuesday in January
after his election and hold office until his successor is duly elected
and qualified.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 3 of Chapter 761
of the Acts of 1943, as amended by Chapter 360 of the Acts of 1957
and by Chapter 458 of the Acts of 1957, be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:

All Acts and parts of Acts, whether Public General or Public Local,
inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be and the same are
hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency; but all laws
repealed by this subtitle shall nevertheless remain in force in respect
to any and all tax sales made or instituted prior to the effective date
of this Act. Any and all tax sales made or instituted after the effec-
tive date of this Act shall be made only in accordance with the pro-
visions hereof; provided that this Act shall not refer to Allegany
County [, Somerset County] and Harford County nor affect the
provisions of Articles 1 and [,] 13 [and 20] respectively, of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland.

There may also be paid to the attorney representing the county
treasurer for Worcester County, a fee for services in connection with
said sale, up to thirty-five dollars ($35), to be approved by the County
Treasurer and County Commissioners of Worcester County, for each
property, and all expenses of conducting the sale shall be liens on the
property to be sold.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

AN ACT to legalize the 1963 Edition of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Somerset County, being Article 20 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, published under the direction of the
Board of County Commissioners of Somerset County and edited by
Carl N. Everstine, and making provision for the publication, sale
and distribution of this Code.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the 1963 Edition of the Code of Public Local Laws of Somerset
