Section 2-54 to said Article of said Code to follow immediately after
Section 2-53 thereof, and to change the said subheading from
"Article VI. Recreation Commission," to "Article VI. Recreation
and Parks Commission"; officially designating the commission
and supervisor provided for in said subheading as the Recreation
and Parks Commission of Anne Arundel County, and the Anne
Arundel County Supervisor of Recreation and Parks, respectively,
increasing the expense allowance of the members of the Commis-
sion, and generally relating thereto.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 2-48 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel
County (1957 Edition, being Article 2 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Anne Arundel County," subtitle "Chapter
2. Administration," subheading "Article VI. Recreation Commission,"
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments and that
new Section 2-54 be and it is hereby added to the said Article of the
said Code, to follow immediately after Section 2-53 thereof, and to
change the said subheading from "Article VI. Recreation Commis-
sion," to "Article VI. Recreation and Parks Commission," and to read
as follows:
2-48.
Each member, including the chairman, shall receive [a reasonable]
an allowance of thirty dollars ($30.00) FIFTY DOLLARS ($50.00)
per month for traveling and other expenses incidental to the perform-
ance of his duties [not to exceed two hundred and fifty dollars per
annum].
2-54.
The commission shall officially be known as the Recreation and
Parks Commission of Anne Arundel County, and the supervisor shall
be known as the Anne Arundel County Supervisor of Recreation and
Parks. Wherever the words "recreation commission" or "supervisor
of recreation" appear, they shall be deemed to designate and refer to
the Recreation and Parks Commission and the Supervisor of Recrea-
tion and Parks, respectively.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.
