(3)    Any offense or matter not specifically enumerated herein,
which the justices of the peace of Baltimore City, including the police
magistrates of Baltimore City, the chief police magistrate of Balti-
more City, the magistrates-at-large for Baltimore City, the magis-
trates of the traffic court of Baltimore City, and the chief magistrate
of the traffic court of Baltimore City had jurisdiction to hear, try
and determine as of the day immediately preceding the first Monday
in May, 1961.

(4)   Any offense consisting of an act done or omitted to be done in
the City of Baltimore, the doing or omission of which act, is or may
be punishable under any act of the General Assembly of this State
or any ordinance of the mayor and city council of Baltimore, by
pecuniary fine only, not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000).

(5)  Appropriation and use by bailee, agent, etc. offenses under
Maryland Code, Article 27, Section 5.

[5] (6) Assault and assault and battery.

(7)  Bawdyhouse, prostitution, and soliciting offenses punishable
under Maryland Code, Article 27, Section 17, or at common law, or
both.

(8)  Bichloride of Mercury offenses punishable under Maryland
Code, Article 27, Section 318.

[6] (9) Blackjack and metal knuckles violation under City Code,
Article 24, Section 173.

(10) Blasphemy under Maryland Code, Article 27, Section 20.

[7] (11) Building and electrical code violations under City Code,
Article 5.

[] (12) Carrying concealed weapons offenses under Maryland
Code, Article 27, Section 36.

[9] (13) Cruelty to animals offenses under Maryland Code, Ar-
ticle 27, Section 59 AND SECTION 63.

(14) Disorderly house offenses under Maryland Code, Article 27,
Section 125.

[10] (15) Disturbance of the public peace under Maryland Code,
Article 27, Sections 121 and 122.

[11] (16) Drunkenness and disorderly conduct under Maryland
Code, Article 27, Section 123.

(17)  Electrical apparatus and wiring violations punishable under
Charter, Section 491.

(18)  Extortion by false accusation under Maryland Code, Article
27, Section 63.

[12] (19) Failure to provide essential services under Charter,
Section 730 and Section 4 of Ordinance No. 684 as amended by Ordi-
nance No. 769 approved by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
on May 27, 1942.

[13] (20) False pretense offenses punishable under Maryland
Code, Article 27, Section 140 (money, etc.), Section 142 (bad check)
