7.    Northeasterly 7/10 of a mile to the Eckhart Branch of the
Cumberland and Pennsylvania Railroad at the Horseshoe Bend, then
with said railroad

8.    Southerly ¼ of a mile to Preston Run, then up Preston Run

9.    Southwesterly ½ of a mile to hoar's Run, then up hoar's Run

10.    Southeasterly 1½ miles passing Montell Mine, and running up
the north fork of the head thereof, then with a straight line

11.    Southeasterly ⅓ of a mile to the top of Dan's Mountain to a
point marked 2,592 on the topographical map of the Maryland Geo-
logical Survey, then running with the top of Dan's Mountain and with
the road leading past the tunnel on the Eckhart branch of the Cum-
berland and Pennsylvania Railroad to the National Road

12.    Northeasterly 2⅓ miles to the National Road, the place of
beginning.

145N. District No. 25Pekin. Beginning on the Garrett County
line where it crosses Bartlett Run, it being the end of the seventeenth
line of District No. 9, Barton, and running thence with said Garrett
County line

1. Northeasterly 1¼ miles to a point on said line 1/10 of a mile
north of Laurel Run, it being the beginning of District No. 10, Lona-
coning and running thence with the line of said District No. 10

2. Southeasterly 1¼ miles following a line parallel to and 1/10
of a mile north of said Laurel Run to a point 1/10 of a mile west of
the county road leading from Lonaconing to Westernport, which
skirts Pekin Hill above the village of Pekin, then with a line parallel
to and 1/10 of a mile west of said road

3. Northeasterly 1¼ miles to a line northwest from John Ferran's
house at New Detmold on the west side of the county road leading
from Lonaconing to Westernport, then with a straight line passing
Ferran's house on the north thereof

4. Southeast ⅛ of a mile to the center of George's Creek, it being
the end of the eleventh line of District No. 15, East Lonaconing, then
reversing the lines of said last named District No. 15

5.    Southeast 1/6 of a mile to the George's Creek and Cumberland
Railroad which skirts Jackson Hill south of Jackson Run, then with
said railroad

6.    Easterly ⅓ of a mile to District No. 9, then with the outlines
of the American Coal Company's land, the following general courses:

7.    Southeasterly 1 mile

8.    Southwesterly 6/10 of a mile, thence with the line of said
District No. 9

9.    Northwesterly ½ of a mile

10.    Southwesterly 4/5 of a mile

11.    West ½ of a mile

12.    Northwesterly 3/10 of a mile

13.    Northeasterly 3/10 of a mile, then leaving the lines of the
American Coal Company's lands, still with the lines of District No. 9
