violating this sub-section when directed by the trial magistrate or
the committing magistrates.

(d) All committing magistrates and every justice of the peace
when acting as a committing magistrate shall enter upon a suitable
book designed for the purpose, a record of
every warrant issued,
which shall include such information as the trial magistrate shall
designate.

(e) Justices of the peace in Charles County when authorized by
the trial magistrate may accept collateral in the cases of persons
charged with being drunk, disorderly, disturbing the peace or

trespassing.

(f) (C) The sheriff of the county or any deputy sheriff or peace
officer to whom a warrant is given by the trial magistrate, or any
committing magistrate or justice of the peace shall promptly serve
the warrant within a reasonable time or shall return it
TO THE
COURT FROM WHICH SUCH WARRANT ISSUED within the
same time with the reasons for failure to serve it.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the increased salaries
provided herein for justices of the peace and committing magistrates
shall not be applicable to the persons in office on the effective date
of this Act, but the increases shall take effect with the next term
of office.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June JULY 1, 1963.

(Senate Bill 634)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 338 of
Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Health", sub-title "Plumbing", and to repeal Section 506 (b)
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Washington County (1957
Edition, being Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Washington County", sub-title "Plumbing", pro-
viding for the establishment of a Washington County Plumbing
Board, the appointment of its members, their compensation,
powers, duties, and authority; establishing the power of the said
Board to grant certain certificates and permits and to require
certain fees therefor; modifying certain duties of the Washington
County Plumbing Sanitarian and relating generally to the Wash-
ington County Plumbing Board.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 338 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Health", sub-title "Plumbing", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

338.

The provisions of this sub-title shall not apply to Washington
County, except as [provided in the local code] hereinafter provided:
