This Indenture made the Twenty Second Day of March in
grace of God over England Scotland ffrance and Ireland Queen
Thousand Seven Hundred and ffive Betweene Charles ffloyde of Kent
on the one part, and Christopher Spry of Talbot County in the
ffloyde for and in Consideration of Six thousand Pounds of Tobacco
before the Ensealing and Delivery hereof the Receipt whereof the
part & pcell doth clearely and absolutely acquitt Exonerate and
for ever by these prsents; and for other Divers good Causes and Consid
Granted Bargained Sold Aliened and Confirmed and by these prsents
Enfeoffe and Confirme unto the sd Christopher Spry his Heires and assignes
by one Jeremiah Thomas from one Robert Devenish, and Conveyed
and bieng on the western side of a branch of Chester river called the
Commonly Called and knowne by the name of Devnish his Chance
ffirst Bounded Tree of a psell of Land formerly Laid out for ffrancis
Tree of Devnishes Chance, and running up the Branch South ffifty
and then north ffifty Perches to the aforesd Shepherds ffolds and
Twenty Perches to the ffirst Bounded Tree Containeing one Hundred
together with all the rights Profitts and priviledges and benefitts ha--
to the only use and behoofe of him the sd Christopher Spry his Heires
rents arrears of rents Released acquitted Exonerated and discharg[ed]
whatsoever the rents and services which henceforth shall grow
and foreprized; nd further the sd Charles ffloyde doth for himself
Spry his Heires and assignes and to and with Every of them by
of their appurtenances are free and cleare from all Incuberances
himselfe his Heires Executrs and admrs to save defend and keep
of persons whatsoever will forever warrant and defend and doe by
Interest Estate Claiime and Demand whatsoever he now hath
released and Ivested in and upon the sd Christopher Spry his Heires and
the said Charles ffloyde doth for himselfe and his Heires farther Cove
assignes to make do execute and suffer or cause to be made Done Execu
or Conveyances requisitt in the prmises as he ye sd Christopher his
reasonably Devise advise or require In Wittness hereof
hands and seales the Day and year above written
