This Indenture made the twenty third
of our Sovereign Lady Ann Queen of England
&c and in ye yeare of our Lord Christ one
Smith of Talbut County in ye provence of Mar
of the County of Kent in the aforesaid provence
Xpr Rousby Late of Calvert County Esqr had
of Land Called Rousbeys Recovery Lying in
the head of a Creek in Chester River called
at a marked oake running up the branch
perches to a marked white oake standing
a line drawne East Three hundred and twenty
Two hundred seventy five perches, and one
and Twenty perches, to ye first bounded oake
more or Less, and held of ye Mannr of Balti-
Testament of ye aforesd Xpr Rousbey in
unto John payne of Calvert County and to
in the Commssrys office of the aforesaid provence
demise, the said John payne did Enjoy dur-
Decent and title of ye sd land is Cast and fallen
said John Payne who since Intermarried wth
iams and Mary his Wife by a deed of bargain
I the sd Robert Smith for and in Considera-
pounds currant and Lawfull money to the
said Edward Scott secured to be well and truly
causes & concideracons, him the sd Robert
gran[t]ed bargained, aliened, sold, enfeoffed
hereby fully frely and absolutely, give
unto the said Edward Scott, his heirs and
Land here in above menconed, lying and
mill, butted and bounded according to pattent
To have & to hold the aforesaid tract og
acres. Together with all and singular ye houses
-tenances, thereunto belonging, unto him
for Ever free and clear and frely and clearly
all former and other gifts, grants bargains
Execucons, rents, or Incumbrances, Commited
or precurement, the rents and services wch
or lords of ye fees Excepted, and the said
convenanteth in manner and forme following
menconed and that he the sd Robert Smith
these presents is lawfully and solely seized
and assignes for Ever and to noe other
Robt Smith hath full power good right
-gain, sell and assure ye premisses and Every
-tenances to ye said Edward Scott his heirs
with out ye let hindrance or Molestacon
or assignes or any other person or persons
under him them or any of them, will
