June ye 5th 1704
19 Whereas Phillip Conno late of Kent Island Deced. by his last will & testamt ordered that a tract of land of his laying on ye sd Island called ye wood yard which he bequeathed to his two sonns Nathaniel and Charles Conno should be Divided p quantitie and quallitie between them by the Justices of Kent County, Wee the subscribers have ye Day & year abovesd Divided ye sd land according to ye Directions in the sd will, & when Division was made, Nathaniel Conno by the Consent of his brother Charles Conno made his first choice and tooke the norther most part of ye said tract of land beginning at a marked Locust post standing at ye upper End of a marsh Joyning to a tract of land where Jacob Blangey now lives & runing from ye said post East two hundred & five pearches to a marked oak, then south from the said oak one hundred twenty two pearches then west to e sd Bay then wth the Bay to ye sd Locust & Charles Conno begins for his part of ye sd land att ye End of the hundred twenty two pearches that runs south from ye said oak: & runs south from thence one hundred ninety & Eight pearches, then west to ye Bay then wth the Bay till it comes to Nathaniel Connos west line, then wth sd line East two hundred & five pearches Jno Wells Elias King Tho: Ringold Jon Whitington Solomon Wright Recorded p Lumley
June the 29th 1704 Came William Hamer & prayed that his mark of cattle & hoggs might be recorded wch is as followeth vizt the right Ear Cropt & two nicks under ye Cropp & a nick in ye under side of the left Ear. Recorded p Lumley Kent County Maryland To Christopher Phillipson one of the attorys in ye sd County of Kent these are to authorize yo ye sd Christopher Phillipson to appear for me Jno Toes in Every of her Majtees Courts for ye sd County of Kent att all times hereafter -- then & there to prosecute & Defend Every accon which shall be brought Either for or agt me & in Every of them to act according to ye Discresion & for yr soe Doeing this shall be yor sufficient Warant Wittness my hand & seal this twenty ninth day of June anno Domi 1704 Jor Toes In p'sence of Lumley this pa made Geo: Lumley |
