Also reported favorably from the Committee on Corporations
the following bills:                                                                                     

A bill entitled, an act to prevent usury in certain cases.

A bill entitled, an act to make valid and amend articles of In-
corporations of the boys school of St. Paul's parish in the city of
Baltimore, incorporated under the act of 1846, chapter 303, en-
titled, an act to authorise incorporations in certain cases.         

A bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Franklin Savings Bank
of Frederick.

And a bill entitled, an act to incorporate the town of Trappe
in Talbot county.

Mr. Lester from the Committee on Inspections reported unfa-
vorably on a bill entitled an act to regulate the Inspections of
Lumber in the city of Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Roberts,

The said report was postponed and made the order of the day
for Saturday the 30th.

Mr. Brengle from the majority of Frederick county, delegation,
reported against the petition from sundry citizens of Frederick
county, praying the Legislature to pass a law taxing dogs for
certain purposes;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Stone reported a bill entitled, an act to prevent free
negroes or slaves from having or using boats on the Potomac
river;                                              

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Jarrett reported a bill entitled, an act to incorporate
the White Hall, Jarrettsville and La Grange Turnpike company;

Which was read the first time.                                     

Mr. Rowles reported a bill entitled, an act to provide for the
repair and preservation of the public roads in Montgomery and
Howard counties;                                      

Which was read the first time.                                     

Mr. Davis reported a bill entitled, an act to repeal an act enti-
tled, an act to provide for the appointment of a State Agricultu-
ral Chemist;

Which was read the first time.
Mr. Smith, of Carroll county, reported a bill entitled, an act
