Also, on a bill entitled, an act to appoint an additional magis-
trate in Jackson district, Frederick county;

Which were read and adopted.                 

Mr. Sudler, from the committee on colored population, reported
favorably on a bill entitled, an act to authorize Wm. M. Kemp,
Emma A. Kemp, and Lizette F. Amelung to emancipate certain
slaves, with permission to said slaves, when emancipated, to re-
main in this State.

Which was read,                                   

Mr. Clark, from the Select Committee, reported a bill entitled
an act to authorize certain trustees or the successors of them to
sell and convey the parsonage house and lot of the Metho-
dist Episcopal church in Talbot circuit, and to purchase another
parsonage house and lot, with the proceeds of said sale.

Which was read the first time,

Mr. Timmons from the Select Committee reported a bill enti-
tled, an act to give the leave of the Legislature to the devises
and bequests of Ann P. White, late of Worcester county, deceas-
ed, for the relief of Pitts Creek congregation of the Presbyterian
church, and of the Methodist Episcopal church in said coun-

ty.
                                                       

Which was read the first time,

Also, on a bill entitled, an act to provide for the transcribing of
certain records in the Register's office of said county.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Dorsey from the Select Committee reported a bill entitled
an act appropriating a sum of money for the payment of the claims
of James Murray, Thomas A. Mitchell, Samuel S. Riley, Chaney
and Pritchard, John W. Davis, James H. League, Dixon, Par-
brim &. Co., James Hopkins, Noah Porter, John T. Watkins, J.
Wesley White and James H. Iglehart, against the State of Mary-
land.

Which was read the first time.            

Also a bill entitled a supplement to an act entitled an act to
regulate inspection in the city of Baltimore, passed March 10th,
1851, chapter 200.
