STATE OF MARYLAND—to wit:

This being the day prescribed by the Constitution for the meet-
ing of the General assembly of Maryland, the members of the
House of Delegates convened in their Chamber at the hour of
12 o'clock noon.                                       

The Clerk of the late House of Delegates proceeded to call
the roll, when the following members answered to their names :

St. Mary's County.—Edmund J. Plowden, Esquire.

Kent County.—William J. Griffith and Emory Sudler, Es-
quires.                                 

Anne Arundel County —William H. Dorsey, Benjamin C.
Neff, and John H. Waters, Esquires.

Calvert County.—Joseph A. Wilson and George W. Dowell,
Esquires.                                     

Baltimore County.—Aquila Chilcoat, Samuel M. Rankin,
Joseph H. Wright, Nelson Cullings and Harlow W. Heath, Es-
quires.

Talbot County.—William B. Clarke and William D. Roberts,

Somerset County.—Purnell Toadvine, Hance Lawson, Levin
