Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 17 (a) of Article 89B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1960 Supplement), title "State Roads", sub-title "In General",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

17.

(a) There is hereby created in each of the several counties of the
State and in the City of Baltimore a board of property review. Said
board shall consist of three (3) members, one of whom shall be an
engineer or a person with engineering background and knowledge,
one of whom shall be a lawyer and one of whom shall be a bona fide
farmer engaged full time in some agricultural pursuit, [.] except
that in Cecil County there need not be a farmer on said Board
THESE
APPOINTMENTS MAY BE MADE WHEN FEASIBLE AND
WHERE AVAILABLE FOR SUCH SERVICE. The said members
shall be appointed by the circuit court judges of the several judicial cir-
cuits within the State and the said judges shall appoint a board for
each county within their respective circuit. In Baltimore City the
board shall be appointed by the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City.
Should it be deemed necessary more than one board may be appointed
in any county or Baltimore City. The board members shall serve for a
term of 2 years from June 1, 1956, and if a vacancy or vacancies shall
occur on any board the appointing authority shall appoint another
qualified person to fill the unexpired term of the vacant member or
members and shall be compensated on a per diem basis, said com-
pensation to be determined by the appointing authority. The com-
pensation shall be uniform throughout the State; however, members
of the General Assembly shall not be eligible to serve on said boards
during their tenure of office. The compensation of the board mem-
bers shall be paid monthly by the State Roads Commission upon
presentation of vouchers approved by the clerk of the court of the
respective county, or the Superior Court of Baltimore City.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

(House Bill 534)

AN ACT to add new Section 61A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Howard County (1957 Edition, being Article 14 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Howard County", sub-
title "County Commissioners and County Collectors", to follow
immediately after Section 61 thereof, relating to the payment of
pensions to retired regular employees of Howard County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 61A be and is hereby added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Howard County (1957 Edition, being Article 14 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Howard County",
