J. MILLARD TAWES, GOVERNOR                                 57

Worcester County concerning certain relationships between land-
lord and tenant, this law being adequately covered in the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland.

Whereas, In Section 103 of the Public Local Laws of Worcester
County there is an old law which dates back at least to 1888 and
concerns the reservation of a share of growing crops as rent as
well as advances made by a landlord to a tenant upon the faith of
the crops to be grown; and

Whereas, These subjects are adequately covered for Worcester
County in Sections 24 and 25 of Article 53 of the 1957 Edition of
the Annotated Code of Maryland; and

Whereas, The old local law should therefore be repealed; now,
therefore

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 103 of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County", sub-title "Land-
lord and Tenant", be and it is hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

Approved February 27, 1961.

CHAPTER 58
(Senate Bill 125)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 104 and 105 of Article 24 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester
County", sub-title "Licenses", said sections having been enacted
in 1894, and concerning the issue of hawkers' and peddlers'
licenses in Worcester County.

Whereas, By Chapter 188 of the Acts of 1894 provision was made
for the issue of hawkers' and peddlers' licenses by the Clerk of the
Circuit Court for Worcester County; and

Whereas, Hawkers' and peddlers' licenses are adequately covered
for Worcester County in the State-wide laws contained in Article 56
of the Annotated Code, beginning with Section 21 in the 1957 Edition;
and

Whereas, The two sections of the local laws therefore may be
repealed; now, therefore
