NOTE

There were nineteen bills vetoed by the Governor of Maryland
following the 1961 Regular Session of the General Assembly. Of these
bills, six originated in the Senate and thirteen originated in the House
of Delegates.

Section 17 of Article 2 of the Constitution of Maryland requires
that any such vetoed bills must be referred to the House in which they
originated immediately after the House shall have organized at the
next regular or special session of the General Assembly of Maryland,
for reconsideration. This was done at the Special Session of the
General Assembly on June 9, 1961, and all nineteen vetoes were sus-
tained.
