provided in this section, a corporation is not permitted to conduct
the business of a funeral director and embalmer.
(c) Nothing in this section shall be construed to apply to any
corporation licensed for the occupation of either funeral director
or embalmer, or both, on June 1, 1945. Any such corporation may con-
tinue under this sub-title to hold a license as and to practice the
occupation of funeral director and embalmer in this State, so long
as the license is held continuously without interruption.
(d) Notwithstanding any other provisions of this section a cor-
poration which was formed during World War II to carry on the
business of any person who was licensed as a funeral director and
who was engaged in the business of funeral director or embalmer
at the time of his induction into the Armed Forces of the United
States during World War H, may continue to hold a license under
this subtitle and to practice the occupation of funeral director and
embalmer in this State, so long as the holding and practice are con-
tinuous, and so long as any such corporation is owned and operated by
members of the immediate family of the person who was so inducted
into the Armed Forces during World War 77, including a father,
mother, wife or widow, brother, sister and/or children, the corpora-
tion is entitled to all the rights and privileges of a licensee under this
subtitle. An application made by a partnership or a co-partnership
under this sub-title shall state the names and addresses of the persons
composing the partnership or co-partnership and a license issued to
the partnership or co-partnership also shall state these names and
addresses.
(e) An application from a corporation under this subtitle shall
state the names and addresses of the officers and directors of the
corporation and a license issued to the corporation also shall list these
names and addresses.
352. Veterans.
(a) Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary in this subtitle
an honorably discharged veteran of World War II who is a graduate
of a recognized college of embalming and who has held a license and
who has actually engaged in the practice of funeral directing and
embalming in another state for a period of five years, and who has
practiced in this State as a duly registered apprentice funeral director
and embalmer for one year is entitled to be licensed to practice the
occupation of funeral director and embalmer in Maryland without
the necessity of taking an examination.
(b) A licensee under this subtitle who is inducted into the Armed
Forces of the United States for a temporary period and on any basis
other than a career basis is exempt from the requirement for secur-
ing an annual renewal of his license during the period of such in-
duction and service.
353. Widows.
Upon the death of any person licensed under this subtitle to prac-
tice the occupation of funeral director and embalmer, his surviving
widow, if any, provided she is not herself the holder of a license
under this subtitle may apply for a widow's license in order to con-
