The State of Maryland was highly honored by this success and
the House of Delegates of Maryland salutes the Frederick High
School Band for a job well done; now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the House of Delegates of Maryland, That the cordial
congratulations of this body and the entire State of Maryland be
expressed to the Frederick High School Band; and be it further

Resolved, That the Chief Clerk of the House of Delegates be
instructed to send copies of this Resolution to the Director and
each member of the Frederick High School Band, the Frederick
High School, the Principal of the Frederick High School, the Super-
intendent of Frederick County Schools, the Frederick County School
Board, and each member of the Frederick County School Board.

Which was read and adopted.

At 11: 30 o'clock A. M., on motion of Mr. Boone, the House took a
recess until 11: 35 o'clock P. M.

REPORT OF RULES COMMITTEE

House Bill No. 1—By the Speaker:

A Bill entitled: "An Act to add a new Section 42 to Article 40 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title 'General Assembly' to
follow immediately after Section 41 thereof, and to be under the new
sub-title 'Apportionment', revising the provisions concerning the member-
ship of the House of Delegates and the representation of the several
political sub-divisions therein, making provision for the nomination and
election of certain candidates for office in the House of Delegates and
relating generally to the membership and election of the members of the
House of Delegates of Maryland. "

Approved by the Rules Committee and referred to the Committee
on Judiciary.
